Scores from classes 1 through 24 will count toward WDAFL Year-End Awards and Sunshine Classic Circuit Awards.  Classes 26 through 33 count for Sunshine Classic Circuit Awards only.

High Point Champion and Reserve Champion Awards will be given in Western, Gaited, and Traditional Dressage at each show.

Sunshine Classic Dressage Circuit Rules and Guidelines

Entries:   Entries for competing and non-competing (schooling horses) must include a current Coggins, entry form, liability release and fees. Entries must be hand delivered or mailed in. Entries received after the closing date will be accepted at the discretion of the management with a late fee of $5 per horse rider combo. There are no refunds of any fees after 5 pm on Thursday prior to the show. 

Fees:  Fees are $30.00 per horse/rider combination, per class, for WDAFL members, and $35.00 per horse/rider combination, per class, for non-members. There is a $10.00 office fee per horse/rider combination. The fee for non-competing (schooling horses) is $20. If your check is returned for non-sufficient funds, you expressly authorize your account to be electronically debited or bank drafted for the amount of the check plus any applicable fees. The use of a check for payment is your acknowledgement and acceptance of this policy and its terms and conditions. Stabling:  An overnight stall is $35and a day only stall is $30. You must provide your own bedding. Stalls will be assigned as completed entries are received and priority is given to horses competing in the show. Stall assignments will be posted with the ride times. If your horse will be staying overnight, you must make your own provisions for feeding at night and the next morning. Haul-in fee is $15.

Schooling:  Schooling is available at Triple J on Saturday afternoon (after the Open Show) for horses that are registered for the show. There is no schooling in the show arena on the day of the show. 

Footing: Covered sand arena 20m x 60m.

Approved helmets MUST be worn by all riders while mounted.

Riders under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by an adult while on the show grounds. 

Correct tack and attire will be required as defined by USEF/WDAA.  Please see rule book for a complete listing by discipline.   Jackets are waived for USDF tests, and any color breeches and polo shirts are allowed.

Ride times will be emailed to each entrant .   Classes will NOT run in order. 

Awards:  Ribbons through sixth place.  A high point award will be presented to the highest scoring rider of the day.  Scores from classes 1 through 24 will count toward WDAFL Year-End Awards and  Sunshine Classic Circuit Awards.  Classes 26-30 count toward Sunshine Classic Circuit Awards only.

Sunshine Classic Circuit Awards – To be eligible for a Circuit award, you must have earned a minimum of four scores (per level) from two different Sunshine Classic shows. At least one score must be from the highest test of the level. Awards will be given per division by level to the horse and rider with the highest median score. Other awards may be added at Mgmt discretion.

Any topics that are not specifically addressed in the above guidelines or any exceptions to the guidelines must be discussed with and approved by the show manager.  Any violation of the show rules can result in your exclusion from this and future Sunshine Classic events.
